Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was the first person to reach a flawless 10 on an Olympic celebration. Bela Karrolyi is an Romanian gymnastics teacher who was later Comaneci's coach who first came across Comaneci aged six. Her first competition was at the junior national championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She won the competition in 1970. In 1972, during an event for communist-controlled countries' junior athletes before the Olympics she took home three medals of gold. In 1973 and 1974 she won the junior champion in all aspects. She won four gold and one silver medals at her debut competition as a senior, held in 1975. It was the first time she had competed as a senior. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first female to do a backward double salto as an unmounting from uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment industry by performing in the form of a figure skater. Along with her younger sister Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol ventured into the entertainment business in her teens. As a young girl, she began performing as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating shows.
